COVID-19 Update...24.09.20

    In conjunction with Government & Industry Guidance, I have listed below a few of the new protocols I need to implement in order to allow me to make my visits as risk free and

as safe as possible for both my clients and me.

Please read through the following:-

- Home visits will take place:- 

- Outside - appointments will therefore be heavily reliant on the weather and reliant on my owners to be accommodating/flexible when booking.

- Inside -  Inside appointments will require me to wear full protective equipment i.e. mask, visor, tunic, over trousers, shoe coverings and conducted in a well-ventilated room. 

- I ask that doors/gates are open/closed for me.

- Social Distancing – a minimum of 2 meters to be kept between owners and myself.  If there is a need to be less than 2m apart, I ask that the owner also wears a mask in this circumstance.

- I would ask that owners also supply a bowl of warm water to enable me to wash my hands both before and after the therapy session.  I will bring my own hand wash and paper towel.

- I will bring my own BioThane lead and ask that your dog wear a fixed collar.

- Only one member of the household to attend the appointment.

- Each home visit will be assessed individually with pre-appointment screening and I will clarify with owners as to their medical status with regard to Covid-19 pre-appointment.

- I will discuss any change in conditions & obtain the dog’s case history pre-appointment and sign the declarations on your behalf.

- Home visits will not be consecutive. 

- Payment for my services would preferably be via Bank Transfer. I will accept a Cheque or Cash but only in an envelope. 

This is not definitive list and of course will subject to change as guidance dictates.

Prior to a Consultation...

I am required to gain consent from your Vet in order to adhere to the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.  

This consent will be required prior to confirming an appointment.

It is a free and easy process that I carry out on your behalf, so please phone or drop me an email to start the ball rolling...

Prior to subsequent Appointments...

If your dog has an illness/injury prior to a pre-arranged booking, 

you must inform me as soon as possible. 

 I will then liaise with your Vet to establish whether a massage is still appropriate.


Equally, if I find an area of concern that is not suitable for massage, I will refer you to your Vet and/or may suggest an alternative therapy.

Insurance

I am covered by the relevant Insurance through Balens Specialist Insurance.
